Help me finish my bag list
Did the Suicide doors "make your own kit" dilly and here's what I've got so far:
1 - viair 380 compressor 8 - SMC 3/8" valves 1 - switchbox 1 - 9-port 5-gal slim & skinny tank (mount to outter framerail to conceal it) 4 - Slam RE200 7" bags 2 - kp 200psi dual needle gauges 1 - kp 200psi sgl needle gauge (for tank) 50' 3/8" airline 50' 1/4" airline (wish they offered it in 25' for the kit, they don't) 1 - 3/8" smc water trap 1 - pressure switch w/relay Total kit price is $863.00 I didn't think this was too bad at all. I'm also going to need upper and lower plates for the front arms, and all my fittings to plumb the system. I need help with the fittings. If someone could list the major ones I'll need it would help me. There's a local place here in town I can get them from. Thanks! Also, if I left anything out please correct me.

Re: Help me finish my bag list
The list looks pretty good. Fittings of course vary depending on how you're going to run the lines. My main concern is where you're going to mount this 5 gallon tank. I'm looking at running two 3 gallon tanks on the outside of the frame rails behind the rear wheels, but it's looking like a tight fit once I get rear bumper brackets on there (I'd like to not have to remove the tank to get the bumper brackets off) and move up to my 305/50/20 tire size. Going with the longer 5 gallon skinny tank, I think you'd run into problems with the c-notch?

Re: Help me finish my bag list
Suicide doors sells the plates and cups for the front of your truck. I have my tank mounted to the top of my frame since there was already a gigantic hole in my bed from the 4-link.

I just ordered mine. I hope this info is correct, because that is what I ordered. Anyone else try fitting the 8" bag in front? Last edited by robsm88; 07-14-2006 at 12:43 PM. |

Re: Help me finish my bag list
Here is a shot from "Project Old School" where they used a nice 5 gallon tank with 4 ports along the outside. It is mounted on the frame rail on the driver side with the valves attached. The dump valves are mounted near the bags.

Re: Help me finish my bag list
So where exactly are you going to mount the tank? I am installing the same setup as you almost. I just can't decide where to put the long tank. I am thinking outside the framerail behind the tire, just can't tell if it will fit without having my bed on.
