Re: Oopps, Flopped my K5 over>>>>
Thanks for all the comments fellas..
I have a 6pt cage on there now. I do plan on someday tieing the cage to the seats and frame but for now it bolts to the body's crossmembers and floor. It is a custom 'halo' style cage that a friend bent and welded up for me a few years back...like 10 hahahaa... The biggest issue with the flop was my stupid speaker boxes flew out of it's retainers and hit my buddy Chris in the head..Ya thoes are GONE now. I felt really bad about that. Other than the speaker bonkin him on the back of the head no one was hurt. I aslo had alot of loose stuff in my truck from over the years of wheelin and things getting under the rear seat...so time to CLEAR out the inside...no more flying objects for me Pismo it tripy to wheel in..HAMMER TIME! Lots of wheel spin and speed I was trying to climb out of a bowl almost straight up it and my rig started drifting along the rim of the bowl sidways..crazy...then it tiped over and the wheel spin, I guess, made little pockets in the sand and just kinda held my truck by the wheels and tires...simply jumping up and down ont he high side alowed it to flop back on all 4...feeewwwww that was close hahahaa Later Burt
