73 corvette motor in '85 truck?
Would there be any issues associated with swapping a 350 from a 'vette into an '85 4X4?
Thanks, Jeremy |

About the only thing you would need to change are the water pump and all sensors/senders from the truck. Use the truck accessories and sensors/senders, and you will be set. You may need to change the flexplate too, just look and see.

Re: 73 corvette motor in '85 truck?
74 and older corvette motors have a tachometer driven off the points distributer. The ram horn manifolds are center dump. I believe the rear main oil seal is still two piece until 86. There shouldn't be anything major to overcome. You might want to know that GM started detuning the vette motors in 1973, The L-48 was only rated at 190 horsepower. Mine still runs great however.
