Re: 1970 2wd blazer
That body sure does look wavy for $8,900. It looks like it might have been painted with a rattle can too.
Is the angle on the driveline normal on a 2wd?

Re: 1970 2wd blazer
They didn't build a lot of first generation 2wd blazers. If you mean mechanically then your mostly looking at the front and rear suspension (2wd came with coils instead of leaf springs).

Re: 1970 2wd blazer
I know the 2wd had coil rear susp but, I am looking at buying a 70 K5 2wd blazer, and was wondering what the difference between the k5 and a regular blazer.

Re: 1970 2wd blazer
I'm not getting your question. The blazers where all badged K5 and the only differences I know of are suspension.

Re: 1970 2wd blazer
All first generation Blazer (69-72) were K5 Blazers, 4wd & 2wd. Jimmy's on the other hand, were just Jimmy's. There were less than 80,000 Blazers built between 69-72. I believe there was an additional 10%-20% that were Jimmy's.
If you are looking at a 70 2wd Blazer, it is truely a rare beast. 70 was the first year of the 2wd production. Check the VIN to make sure it isn't a converted 4wd.

Re: 1970 2wd blazer
It's not converted, it has coil rear susp and it is a one owner truck with 85,000 on it it does have some rust but nothing that cant be easily fixed, and it only has a 6 cyl with a 3 speed, manual steering and brakes.

Re: 1970 2wd blazer
be aware that if there is rust you can see, there is a lot more that you cannot see until you start cutting into it. It is almost always fixable, just dont underestimate what it may take to repair the rust.
other than that it sounds like a cool ride. |
