My hood side bumpers on the fenders are shot. I have tried 2 different vendors and they are the same thing, they are too thick and hard to let the hood set down where it needs to be.

Who sells hood side bumpers that fit like original ??? Thanks

Have not tried mine yet so I can't help but to bump ya, but it
seems kinda weird, all they are is rubber, are they dried out?

Have you tried LMC. So far I have had good luck with parts I have bought from them. My bodyman has not put mine on yet but I will let you know how mine turned out when he is done.

i got mine from lmc,they came in a bag marked american counterpart, they seemed to fit well

Trim them down with a razor blade.

i got some off ebay, but they all should be about the same. you need a flat screwdriver for the job, maybe some dishsoap

We have all found out the hard way that they should be installed before the fender goes on the truck. You should pull them through from the bottom, not try to shove them through from the top with a screwdriver. The screwdriver tears them up and they just don't go through and expand correctly.
Once installed correctly, you have to wait for some time before they will compress to the shape of the hood. Look at old ones and see how they have taken the shape of the hood.

An update - just got the new hood bumpers from LMC today and they look great, look like the same size as the originals. They were more expensive, but worth it if they fit.

you can still get original gm bumpers as well. i got mine from gmpartsdirect. haven't put them on, i'm just gathering parts while they are still available for future use.
