Torque Converter going out?
A few days now the tranny has been acting up. I had it rebulilt a couple months ago and the converter was still good they said. The engine will rev and the tranny will take a second to catch then it's going good. I've checked the fluid and it was a little low but I went ahead and filled it up today. I'll recheck it again in tomorrow but I'm wondering if the TC is headed south?

Re: Torque Converter going out?
sounds like the torque converter is losing its prime or thats what the guy told me at a trans shop about my jeep that had the same problem let it warm up a bit in neutral and then it did just fine

Re: Torque Converter going out?
either your torque converter is going bad, or the front drive pump is going out....generally when a tranny is rebuilt you should replace the torque converter weather it is still good or not....it saves the headache of situations like this

The TC was checked out when the tranny was rebuilt and he said it was good. It was a new one when I installed the engine a few years ago.
