Yeh if you are going to use the Short Wheel Base Bed - then stick with the '72 chassis as it has a disc brake front end and the 5x5" wheel bolt pattern. (If the SWB frame isn't any good - then you can shorten the LWB - there is a great tech article on how to do this, and swap the complete front suspension crossmember and rear end into the '67 shortend frame) it is a little more work than swapping the cabs but can be done.

Shouldn't be any problems using the '72 nose on the '67 Cab.
