coil springs vs. leaves

Which one do you think is stronger for holding weight. I am guessing leafsprings. This is for the front suspension of a 67-72 truck. I would guess air bags would make it even stronger. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

Leafs for sure. This is for a 4wd right? I wouldn't think anybody would want an old I beam suspension on one of these trucks.

2wd that I'm thinking of converting to a 4 wheel drive to hold more weight.

Semi tractor air bags are the way to go. Nah, I have no help to this thread. Sorry. I suppose leafs. heck, even hugely eighty trailers have leafs.

I think the real question that needs to be answered is what you are planning on doing with this truck? I think that will help us give you the best advice.
