paint opinions
ok i was set on light red (1971 chevy factory color) with white and yellow flames with a blue/purple pearl tint, but now im concidering metalic ghost flames just slightly lighter then the truck, with a tint of silver added in the tips, which woul dyou do on a 71 4x4?

These trucks don't need complicated paint schemes to look good, busy flames and tints just detract from it in my opinion..... but the ghost flames sound like the better of the two....

Josh, my truck is the "lt red" which really has orange in it. I would go easy on too much Flame stuff as it might wear on you the longer you have it. Go with a base color that you really like and if you tire of the flames, you don't have to repaint the whole truck. Just my .02~~~Huck

if that is what shiny light red looks like im DEFINTLY set on it now!!!!!now just to decide weither i want flames on it and which kind im defintly going with light red with clear coat and top trim

Just wondering, (not that it makes any difference)
What was the original paint color and scheme on the truck in question? Stepside or fleetside? Chrome trim option? I tend to like the restored original trucks. When the color change is drastic it can have a very unapealing affect unless the paint is completely and properly removed before respray. On the other hand these trucks are each owners personal expression.

That's gonna be a sweet ride, nice options too.
I like the idea of a solid color with the single chrome trim too. Kinda like diggin69's blue one only in red.
