the notches are sold seperatly part numbers A778D-1 for the drivers, and A778P-1 for the pass, the are 150 each I will try to get some pics of them uninstalled

Nevermind, I will deal with the CPP notches. $300 for a c-notch seems a little crazy for my ghetto build.

understandable, they work nice but the cost definitely reflects that, if you haven't bought your notches yet, there is a pair of cpp notches on ebay for $99 or a set of mcgaughys of $75

I cut my bed floor out and trimmed out my arch for the wheel humps to get the low low... here are a couple of bad pics, hopefully i can get a couple better ones. I have very limited garage space so I have been doing most of the work outside, but now its raining and cold, so hopefully it will clear up alittle this weekend so i can get a good pic of it outside all the way down

You can by the CPP notches everyday for $99 ... the ebay thing is no bargain. Call them and tell them you saw the ad in Custom Classic Trucks.

I paid $99 for mine, I just haven't installled them and would have considered returning them is the Ride Tech version was reasonable. I'll deal with fit issues if they come up.

Since you have experience with the CPP and the ART pieces is there really $200 worth of difference between them. I have heard a lot of people talking about having to really work the CPP notch to get it to fit and they still have gaps between the notch and the frame. I don't really need the ability to mount a bag at this time but that's not to say that I wont need this feature in the future. I don't have a problem spending $300 on a c notch if it's a better product. On the other hand I'm not going to spend that kind of cash just because the box says ART instead of CPP . Lets see some shots of the notch uninstalled and installed, show me where my money needs to go.

well i started with the cpp notches and they worked fine for my use. I probably would have continued to use them becouse even though they didn't fit that great (a gap in the rear of the notch) they were under the bed of a work truck. My arms were getting rusty and it was time for bushings anyway so I got the ART tubular kit which came with the new notches. They are nice becouse they fit tighter to my frame, the bag bolts directly to them and the notch is a little deeper, so i was able to go a little lower. they both serve the same purpose and both have benefits. if your not planning on bagging your truck you probably wouldn't need the bag mount anyway... either way, here are some pics

The bed floor will be a limiting factor before the amount of 'notch' is when 'air-ing' it out. I have the CCP notches. My rear-end hits the bed floor & I still have about 2" before I run out of notch.

the bed floor was the limiting factor but i have cut my bed floor out and am raising it up which allows me to use the full notch.

I am curious, does anyone know where i could get a decent steel 67-72 chevy bed floor? I want a steel floor, and i want to still have the use of my bed, so I don't want to put any bug humps in it for the rearend housing. I think it will be a pain to make it look right, but i am going to shorten my tail gate about 4 inches as well so when you put the tailgate down there is not a big 4 inch step from raising the floor

there are two different variations of the tubular kit, the cool ride, which is the bag and shock setup like I am using, and the shock wave setup which is a bag and billet shock as one piece
