You cant swap the gears from 3.07 to 3.73 without a carrier swap, the 3.07 is a 3 series carrier (gears 2.76-3.42), & the 3.73 is on a 4 series carrier (3.73-4.56). You can get AFTERMARKET 3.73 gears that will fit the 3 series posi that you have tho. IMO, a 3.42 gear would give the best of both worlds, less rpm on the hyway, but also good takeoff.
