can you guys tell me if there is any differance between the 60 and 61 hood. would a guy be able to put one on eather truck and have it still be factory original or is there an identification number on them or date... my budy has a 60 pickup with a 65 hood. he wants to put it back to original. i found one for him exept guy says its a 61. i cant find any differance in outer appearance. please let me know. thanks andrew

The 60 -61 hoods are the same. The only differance are the parking light bezels, but you can use either one on the hoods.

Also the 61 had the apache emblems on the hood,the 60 had them on the fenders.My 60 has a 61 hood /bezels, I had all the emblem holes filled.

will the 60-62 gmc hoods interchange? I know that they will bolt on, but the difference is the upper grill area on the gmc hoods. Can that are be unbolted and bolt in the chevy style?

I'm not sure about that. I have not actually seen a GMC hood of that year that close up. I'm sure some one hear has.

I Believe On The Gmc Hoods The Parking Light Lens Bolts Directly To The Hood And Does't Have A Bezel Around It Like The Chevy Hoods........hemmit
