especially the bigblock or built small block guys..will the bags hold up to burnouts with out messing them up,,or does it even effect them..i want baggs but am proably a yr or so away from them,,but i dont want to do it them mess them up..

I think the rule of thumb is under 450 hp is ok. I know there was a thread in the suspension forum about "too much power for bags".

A proper bag setup is no different than a coil spring setup (better for the most part). If you have a good shock, then a burnout would be no different with bags than with springs.

Does that make sense?

yup..i know i will never have the money for a big horsepower motor..will be lucky to get one built up will 300 horse....

As was talked about in the Bagged HP thread, the trailing arm rear setup isn't the best setup for high HP anyway. So if you were to run a high HP motor, then you would want to consider a 4 link rear or something first anyway. Then again the bags should still not be an issue.

Who has the bad ass black truck with the super charger? He has bags on his truck, wonder how his burns out?

Burnouts and high horsepower will not affect the airbags. You aren't relying on the airspring to actually hold the axle while the wheels are spinning, thats the job of your trailing arms or 4 link. We've got customers running 1200+ HP on air bags with no issues. There are even some drag racers that have started using airbags on their cars and love them.

i agree the bags arnt going to be the factor in a burn out contest its how well the link system is set up that is what holds the axle in place and takes the force of the HP i have seen lots of trucks do great burnouts with bags

you just lay the frame on the ground hit the gas and you dont evenhave to worry aboutthe brakes cause you aint going nowhere till you lift off the ground
