BB and SB auto crossmember - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

After doing a short search it looks as if there is no difference except the BB uses a spacer(s) to raise the rear of the tranny up. Is this correct and how thick is the spacer?

Spacer is about 3/8'' thick, and was for the th400
