Went To A Pull-Apart
Went to a pull-apart this weekend. Quite a few of our trucks there. A lot of sheet metal, but most of the small stuff is long gone. Long beds, short beds, one blazer, and a panel. Located in Xenia, Ohio. take old 35 east and just as you leave town, the road Y's southeast. ( don't know the name of the road) Quite a few Camaro's if your looking for a tach. Buddy I was with had 3 arm loads of stuff for various cars he was working on for only $30.00 . It's called Xenia Iron and Metal. They buy junk cars for $135. a ton. Couldn't believe they buy junk catalytic(sp?) converters for up to $80 a piece. Didn't find anything I need, so I'm just passing the info along to others.

If I'm not mistaken, catalytic converters contain platinum and if recycled properly the platinum can be extracted. We have guys up here, going around to some of the smaller repair shops that keep parts cars around, and offering to buy and remove the catalytic converters.

Re: Went To A Pull-Apart
Huh, I figured that here in the "Rust Belt", everyone would be looking for some decent sheetmetal? I guess not? This place is easy on the pocketbook. Cheaper than I thought it would be. Ah well, just thought I'd pass it on.

Re: Went To A Pull-Apart
Dan, thanks for the info. I will have to stop by sometime. My grandparents live near Xenia and next time I visit I will take a look.
