overheating problem fixed!!!!
so, some of you all will remember my truck has been having an overheating problem for about 2 years or so. well tonight i finally got it fixed!!!
so here is what the stock gauge read after warming up: and here is what the new one read at the same time: exactly what i though/was hoping, its an electrical problem, which is MUCH better than an actual overheating problem. oh, and my electric fans come on exactly where they need to, not at random times like the stock guage says |

Re: overheating problem fixed!!!!
I had that problem when I used a 70s sender on an '86 gauge when I did my 305 to 350 swap. Scared the you know what out of me when I was breaking it in. The sender that fits your block won't work with your gauge, so you have to use an adapter. Could this be what happened?

the stock gauge was working fine until about a year after the engine swap. |
