exhaust options
since i got finished with my swap i need to run some type of exhaust for my truck since im running open manfolds rightnow. im gonna weld up my exhaust from 3 inch piping but i need t know what desin will sound better and hopefully give me ittle more performance than the stock one. i frew some pictures to explain my ideas, im an exhaust newbie so i need help
my set up is gen 5 454 eddie 750 carb eddie perormer mani and stock exhoust manifolds (soon to get headers) option 1 yay or nay? ![]() option 2 yay or nay? ![]() option 3 yay or nay? ![]() thanx a lot! any feedback would be great ![]() |

option 2 more yay option 3 nay They all will work but, you said a little more performance and the H-pipe IMO would be the way to go. RJ22 |

I think you will acomplise that by going with the 3in exh. you stated the H-pipe will also lower the tone some IIRC.

Option 2 is what I just did with mine, looks good and sounds great.

Option 2 for sure.
I think the only question you have is whether you go with an H-pipe the way you have it diagramed or extend it out a little further and go with an X. Both configurations accomplish the same thing but some people will argue that that an X is better because of the way the exhaust is directed. I went with an X and have been very happy with it. |
