Went to the Track Saturday.. Warshoal, SC
Took my 70 CST10 396BBC to the track Saturday to match race my friends fully restored 63 stepside and we had a blast..
Here are the results.. Reaction, 60 foot, E.T.(1/8th), MPH .294, 2.577, 10.751, 68.222 .169, 2.612, 10.446, 69.558 -.086, 2.323, 10.029, 69.974 I had no traction at all but I knew that before I went.. Left the line at idle and played with it until it would hook but it would still spin in second.. It was a good day though.. And I drove the truck there and back which is about a 3 hour round trip.. Wasn't even that bad on gas with the 396BBC and 3.73 or 4.10 stock rearend which is single traction by the way.. thanks.. James.. |

Re: Went to the Track Saturday.. Warshoal, SC
I have video and if I get the time I will try and upload it to the streetfire.net website..
We had a great time and the weather was nice.. Wind was blowing pretty bad but was still nice.. Yeah, my truck will not hook at all.. I actually thought she would run in the 9s somewhere but oh well.. Got close.. Hopefully your weather will improve soon.. Man, cutting 1.9s on street tires is awesome... Sounds like your truck is very fast... 3/4tonterror? How do you cut such good times? How fast is your truck? I was going to unhook my 2" exhaust and let the BBC breathe but decided I just wanted to run it the way I drive it and have fun.. There was a beautiful 68 shortbed fleetside lowered with baby blue/white paint running.. He was running low 10s also but he truck was beautiful.. My buddy's 63 fully restored stepside was running low 9s on street tires.. His best 60 foot was 2.1s.. He has a ZZ4 crate motor with a 700r4 overdrive and 4.10 gear.. Thanks.. James.. |
