The GA sun finally dried out the passenger window weatherstripping, and a piece cracked off. I don't know what the official part # or name is for this thing... think I can find it at http://www.classicparts.com/index.htm?

Also, how hard is it to replace this thing, and just how critical is it? Will all that extra water flow into the door have a negative impact? Should I hold off on any car-washing until it's replaced? Am I just being paranoid?

I got mine from the dealer. To replace them roll the window down and put something like a bondo spreader between the outer door panel and the rubber belt molding and push it twords the window to get a little space to stretch out the clips. then pull up on the belt molding. be carefull the clips are metal and have teeth and maybe a littel stuborn. It goes in a little EZer

That seal is pretty easy to replace. Mine just fell out when I took the door panel off and messed with the window.

Offtopic, but can you post a picture of your truck? It looks sweet just from that picture!

that is a very nice looking truck, the strip is easy. Becareful about the clips they they can cut the crap out of you or scratch your truck up if you are not careful. BTW the dealer still has those

I have always called it a belt molding... if you cant find it, try searching that

pull the door panel.it's self explanatory.pull the rubber up and put some of that blue no stick painters tape along edge..be careful not to scratch that nice black paint.

I'm surprised a dealership would still have these parts... I guess I'll stop into the Chevy dealership and check it out, then pull the panel off and have at it!

PS - I just did a huge photoshoot so I'm about to post a truckload of pics...
