replacing fuel tank selector valve
is there a special tool for taking of the fuel tank selector valve? I can't get any wrench up in there to get it off.

Re: replacing fuel tank selector valve
IIRC all you need to do is reach behind it and squeeze the two tabs, one on top, one on bottom, and push it out.

Re: replacing fuel tank selector valve
I used a regular box end and open end wrench when I removed mine a couple of years ago. It was kinda slow going, but fortunately the threads were clean. Putting them back on and tightening them was even tougher. Removing the rubber lines from the valve helped.
I don't know if a special tool exists.

Re: replacing fuel tank selector valve
You probably have some bad body mounts. Put a 2x4 under your rocker (from front to rear, the long way) and lightly lift it with a jack. You'll be able to use a wrench on the top of the bolts then. The last time I did it, I used a ratcheting box end (gearwrench brand) and it was much easier than the time I did it before that.
