Re: Brand new 66 trucks
Very cool pic, indeed. I like old truck pictures like like that. That's why I have a drawer full of old owner's manuals; they used to put lots of neat pictures in them. I also like the clips of the old truck commercials they sometimes use in the new truck commercials. Is that a cab and chassis I see all the way to the back at the bottom?

I think it actually stood for "Grabowski Motor Company," if you want to get technical.

Re: Brand new 66 trucks
Say, that top front one could be mine!
Hey fellas, Been lurking for quite a while, just couldn't resist when I saw that truckfullo'trucks. Had mine about 12 years, got it from a guy who bought it at an estate sale. It had been covered in blackberries for ??? years, he cleaned it up, tuned it up & I bought it. Put in a new fuel pump & exhuast, drove it as a dd for a couple years with (almost) no brakes. Sold a house, got the brakes completely redone moved 250 miles & since then have just used it for firewood & dump runs. I've cut & hauled 5-6 cords of wood/year the last 10 years & given the old boy quite a workout. Prolly haven't put a thousand miles on it since I moved. Don't drive it very often, my dd for the last 10 years is an 84 Grand Wagoneer (I know, sucker for punishment) which keeps me busy chasing problems. Need to get the carb rebuilt & replace a cracked exhaust mani, oh and chase gas gauge & some lighting gremlins , but it's always ready to go when I am. I really appreciate the great info and attitude on this board, thank you all very much. |
