Longbox to shortbox
See even us Canadian boys are smart enough and capable to shorten a frame.

Re: Longbox to shortbox
Nice job. I'm getting ready to do something similar. I'm taking a lwb frame (front section) and a swb frame (rear section) and making a frame for my 67 Crewcab. It will be 33" longer under the cab and be set up for a SWB.

Re: Longbox to shortbox
It's kinda weird, usually guys are wanting more not less. I guess you could call it "frame" envy.

Re: Longbox to shortbox
Looks good, I wish whoever it was that shortened my 72 would have had the foresight to cut the frame at an angle or notch it. They cut it straight down and gloved it...looks pretty strong, but is bad ugly.

Re: Longbox to shortbox
Ya ....it wasn't really that hard ....probably took me about 4 hours ....spend more time measuring than anything..I also welded a plate on the back in the shape of a diamond to give it more strength. I am getting the swb panels from Goodmark for $449 US...and a guy that I know is bringing them across the border for me....since they won't ship to Canada
