Good luck with the warm weekend thing from a fellow Pa board member. I'm sad it's white here again today. |

Re: Finished motor pics....
Found the motor in the Auto Locator after the origional motor was diagnosed as DEAD (blown head gasket , water sitting the cylinders for a couple of years , bored .60 over already , and a bent rod from compressing that water...but she still ran !!!) $300 for the motor , someone built it and never put it in anything.... 4 bolt main , std. bore , KB flat tops , 882 casting heads that were opened up to 2.02/1.6 , bowls cleaned up and exhaust side ported , new Comp Cams valvetrain.. 280H cam , springs, lifters, seals , roller tipped rockers.... I put on the intake and carb I wanted (Edelbrock Performer RPM, Edlebrock carb) , guy gave me the headers , alt., starter , Accel HEI coil , gauges .. everything with the motor !!!!

Re: Finished motor pics....
Not sure if you already know this, but figured that I mention it,
you will have a very hard time installing the motor with the headers on the motor. I would suggest removing them and installing them after the motor is in the truck. Same goes for the Fan and fan spacer you got on there.

Re: Finished motor pics....
You can also remove the yellow wire from the starter harness since you went HEI.

Re: Finished motor pics....
Clip and remove the yellow wire. It's a bypass for the points to get a full 12V during cranking. HEI doesn't use that, it uses 12V all the time.
