Low and Tow or NO

I'm thinking of putting a flip kit on my truck but I want to tow with it maybe once a month or so. Are there issues with ubolts braking or any other considerations I need to make?

Depends how low you want to go, but I would consider helper air bags in the rear to maintain a safe ride height to prevent bottoming out.

My truck came with the heavy duty rear spring so if I flip it I thought I would remove the large leaf to bring it back up just a touch and then add the helper bags. I guess around a 3/5 is the ride I'm looking for, I want to tow a car every now and then so I don't want to go to low.

Helper bags are the answer. They will do exactly what you want.

But are there strength issues with the springs hanging from the rearend as opposed to setting on it? And let me throw this in to, frame strength with a western chassis c-notch. Thanks for the replys, I have been lurking around this site for a few years but never really posted anything. You may have awakened a sleeping monster. I would like to post a few pics but will have to learn how, giant four times screen size pics ya know.

From my previous experience with a similiar set up I had no issue with the C-notch. If at all posssible I suggest that you weld it in rather than bolt it in.

If you don't already know, if you are cutting the frame with a saw make sure you drill holes at the upper corners of your cut so you don't have a potential location for a stress crack.

you can go as low as you want just like this guy did.

I have towed a dual Axel trailer with a Volvo 850 wagon on it and a engine and sub frame in the bed of my truck on a 4+ hr trip. My truck is lowered about 6" in the rear with helper air bags and 5" in the front. I've also towed a couple of 21' Malibu ski boats around town. No issues what so ever

I've had the same bags for over 9 years and I just blew one this year. Here are the replacement bags I bought
