Driving me crazy

Anyone know why my radio sounds fuzzy most of the time. You can hear the engine noise. Just changed the whole distributor and now it dose it. The old distributor was in the truck for about 15 years. It is an HEI in a 65. Does anyone know what to do? I would think it is something to do with the ground. The radio has been in the truck for ever too.

Re: Driving me crazy

try running a ground strap. Its been a few years but i had the same probem with my 74. 1) grounding the block to the frame,2) grounding the radio to the frame,3) a little grounding box that goes on the radio ground wire between the radio and the ground point. (cant remember the name of the grounding box, radio shack use to have them.) hope this help.
