cross member crash

71 blazer 2wd i just converted my steering from manual to power
and now the tie rod touches the crossmember i have 3"drop spindles and 1"drop springs, it worked fine with the manual box,
help!

other mods,
early van tilt column,
mercury marine vortech 350,
700r4,
2k silverado seats w/built in seat belts
67 front body clip&side moulding
who makes good looking conv top without all those
#$@^&**%$ snaps

is everthing bolted up tight? it moves quite abit when it gets snugged down. what year steering box did you use?

This may be a dumb question, but does the steering gear have the 2 wheel drive pitman arm or does it have a 4 wheel drive pitman arm? When you said Blazer I thought that may be the problem. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

i believe that every thing is tight enough for a mockup but i will
double check, on average how close do they run?
and the idea of a 2wd or 4wd pitman arm crap i told the guy at pep boys it is a 2wd three times is there a big differance that i
can meassure?

ok ok ok! ichecked and it looks like when do tighten the pitman arm"completly" i'll have a bee's dick worth of room thank you.
but beforei tighten it do i turn the wheels to one side as well as the box then tighten

Are you guys talking about converting a 4X4 to a 2wd?? If so I've done it myself once.
