Old Wrecker pix
This wrecker lives on Highway 198, the road up to Sequoia National Park, in Three Rivers, CA. It used to haul wrecks out of the park. Looks might it still be able to do it from time to time. It's been at this same location for at least 50 years - just a wide spot in the road, with a bunch of old cars parked there. I think it's a '46 or '47.

Man, you don't see one of those everyday! That is too cool. Is that a '67 Eldorado I spy on the r/h side in the garage? I've been wanting to street-rod one of those things for a long time. It's amazing what you find way out off the beaten path.

Re: Old Wrecker pix
He's got at least 10 1970's Lincolns and Caddys parked there -when I was growing up, in the 60's, he had 30-40 caddys and lincolns parked there from the 40's and 50's. One of these days I'm gonna go in and talk to the guy. He's probably an interesting character.

That a cool old wrecker and Sequoia National Park is darn near in my back yard. Know if I only could talk my wife into one more project.

Re: Old Wrecker pix
lol - I'm goin up in a week and a half - I'll try to remember to talk to the guy, and get some pix of inside, etc. He's got some interesting vehicles there. You know how the foothills of the Sierras are - there is hidden stuff all over - people with ranches, etc. On the way up, through Lemon Cove, there's a guy that has an old Coke machine sitting in a little fenced off area, from the 50's, still in good shape, but starting to get a little ragged.

Re: Old Wrecker pix
Here's a couple more pictures of that wrecker - the guy that has this yard is pretty interesting - his office has got lots of antique automobilia (signs and stuff) he might have even had a lot of that stuff there when it was new - and it looks like he has a couple interesting projects going on.
