old Chevy guy new to forum
Just wanted to introduce my self, Im not that old but my chevys are I have lots of projects and a lot less time.I resored a few cars and trucks when I was younger and now that my kids are getting older I am hoping to do a few more. My project list include a 69 camaro convertable a 68 nova a 70 chevelle a 67 impala a 72 custom deluxe 30 with a stake body dump. Also I have a 69 k10 8ft fleet and a 67 GMC camper cruiser all in various states of disrepair. Because I cant really afford or really need 3 trucks I was thinking about mixing and matching to get two really good trucks out of three . When I stumbled onto your really awsome site I was looking for more info about the camper cruiser .It has a v6 with stuck valves fixable but hard to get parts for ,a good bed, a cab that I resored half of already when I used to drive it and a repairable front clip. My son [now 16] and I were thinking about putting the body on the k10 frame, not original or authentic I know but...... Anyway my question to you all is this my sons friend says he's been looking for camper cruisers and seemed to intimate that this truck was rare or perhaps even collectable ,I'd hate to take it apart and find out later it was worth a ton of money if it was all original. The bed on the K10 is shot theres no moter [I have a good 350 in another parts truck tho] The cab was restored about 13 years ago by me for someone else and is still really good. Id like to put it on my c30 that is all good mechanically and dump body but it's cab is shot with a lot of rot over the windsheild. Can anyone tell me more about the camper cruiser ,Rare or collectable? I know Im getting long but let me mention it has tinted glass split bench with arm rest and center compartment and factory air that used to work when I first got it. Thanks guys Im awaiting your reply.

Welcome to the board from South Mississippi! Rare is in the eye of the beholder. As far as collectable, probably not. Value on these trucks is going up, but not because of rarity. The best value trucks seem to be the swb fleetsides with all the goodies.

Welcome. You got a plan, go with it and adjust as needed. You'll end up with a nice customized truck.
