Re: Am I asking too much for this 71
Have you tried to advertise off the net? Maybe in an AutoTrader? I had a truck for sale for a while online and couldn't seem to sell it. I even dropped the price a few times. I put it in the AutoTrader at the original asking price and it sold to the 2nd person who looked at it. The net is big but not everyone is on it.

No I have not advertized any other place. I really am in no big hurry, anyhow I have a couple friends that want it here locally. I bought the thing for 2700.00, after installing rockers and corners, and sectioning frame, and other minor things I have done, I wont take less than posting price. I like to think my time is worth more than 3 $ an hr, maybe 5 will be OK.

With paint and wheels it will have a more "finished" look.It has a "project" look now(which I prefer). You could ask more like $5,000 with new paint,I`d think.

Re: Am I asking too much for this 71
I have noticed my Dads restored step side with a new 502 BB is not selling and that is in the land of rust of OHIO. Out here in the high desert of California, restored or not the trucks are averaging sale at around $1500 to $3500. It just doesn’t seem to be a sellers market right now.
Respectfully

Re: Am I asking too much for this 71
I always ask a couple hundred bucks more than I want because theres some people out there (a lot of em!) that will not pay asking price even if it's fair...
It's like they just cant bring themselves to do it. so I always put in wiggle money, heck I've even got it once or twice.

I think it's alittle over-priced, not bad though. I would have snatched $3500 for it in a heartbeat.
