Re: bagging 69 gmc!!!!!
Flip the rear axle (5.5"), take out bottom 2 leaf springs (2") and add 1.5" drop shackle... 9" total. C-notch the frame and add an "Air-Over Leaf" bag system from Air Ride Technologies (http://ridetech.com/productinfo/airoverleaf.asp).
That should set the pumpkin pretty close to the the bottom of the bed. I have this set-up in my truck but can't tell you exactly how close it gets to the bed because I still have to fit the box on my truck. Currently, it sets the axle down on a short 7/8" bumpstop installed in the notch. If it ends up too close I will install a larger bump stop or maybe a shorter if I need a little more. I don't have any good pictures at work with me but can get you some later if you like.

Re: bagging 69 gmc!!!!!
I'll try to take some pictures today. As far as levelling out the front, a typical front bag setup for our trucks should do the trick. I don't know a lot about this stuff... just what I have learned from putting together my own system so you should probably get a second opinion.
As far as a 4-link goes, I think I am correct to say it all depends how much drop you design into the system. The suspension style doesn't affect your need to cut the bed, the amount of drop does.
