I'd do a quick check of all the 1157 bulbs (front and rear, left and right). Maybe one of them has an internal short.
Your parking lights and your dash lights use the same fuse. This is a safety thing - if your dash lights are out, you will get it fixed. If your tail lights were on a separate circuit, you may not notice.
Even though you don't think it's a ground problem, I'd check the bed ground. There should be a strap or two tying it to the frame. I think these are ahead of the rear tires.
