Drop spindle preferences?
I'm looking to buy some drop spindles for my 1966 panel truck and I was wondering what brands everyone else has used, pro's and con's to 2.5" compared to 3", and how the ride of your trucks has changed, if at all. I have already converted the front to disc brakes off of a 1975 GMC heavy half ton so it has the 1 1/4" rotors and associated suspension components, and a 1972 trailing arm rear so I have five lugs on all four corners.
I am looking to get around 3" to 3.5" of drop in the front and 5" in the rear, so I will be trimming my stock front coils to attain the extra drop up front ant buying new coils for the rear. Any preferences on manufacturer's - ECE, CPP, Mcgaughys, Belltech, etc...?

Re: Drop spindle preferences?
IMO, they are all good brands. I would add DJM to the list. Drop Spindles are one of those parts that they are all pretty much the same quality. For me, it came down to price. I might stay away from CPP just because of the customer service we've been hearing about lately, although I ordered something from them the other day with no problems. I think the only 3" ones are DJM, but I'm not positive. Also, I've heard people say the 3" drop spindles are not truly 3", but I cannot be sure. I just put the DJM on my truck with no problems.

Re: Drop spindle preferences?
Royo, I see you have a CPP upper control arm in the picture, do you have any complaints about it? I am going to use ECE for all the front end parts, BUT I was considering CPP for a complete brake system.

Re: Drop spindle preferences?
the arms are nice but the balljoint willnot fit thru the top without grinding and they would not pay for shiping them back. if u buy from them make sure they have it in stock
