my 66 swb step side project truck
this was my wifes fixer upper until, i found her a 64 swb ss that she can drive. so she gave this one to me and said i can do to it what i want.
plan is to put a swb fleet on it and tub it with a 9in ford rearend with 4 link rear suspension. this is a ground up build. chassis is being worked on first. making my own cross member, upper and lower a-arms, 4-link mounts and brackets. next the cab. it needs new floors, new firewall, cab mounts, rockers, cab corners. it is pretty messed up, but i am up for the challenge. would like to find a swb fleetside i can put on and tub. i don't like the way a stepside looks when tubbed. you get the gist of what i plan on doing. posting some pics of what it looks like and will post along the way. the pics are a little old. the frame is on jack stands right now and don't have pics of it yet. will post more later |

Re: my 66 swb step side project truck
hell man, no offence intended but i thought my 62 cab was rusty. but my 62 is my parts truck. i found 2 64-66 cabs in my buddys back yard/junkyard that im gonna buy for spares or parts for my 66. there almost rust free and if i dont get um they will be going for scrap. my 66 cab is fine but hey, spares are always good. im probably gonna be able to get um both for $150. anyways, good luck man.
