FS: 1981 K15 4X4, 305, 350 tranny, T/C, front axle, wiring, interior.

If you're looking for body panels, the only one worth pulling would be the hood. Everything else is rusted.

Stock 305, stock 350 tranny, transfer case. Front axle has been converted to Warn manual hubs.

All electrical works except heater fan switch. Interior is ok, but the dash pad is shot. All instruments work (no tach, sorry).

Dual tank switch and solenoid work, passenger's side tank is good (driver's is rusted).

I was going to sell the whole truck, but it seems with gas prices nobody's buying. So I'm going to part it out. Any overly large parts (engine, tranny, axles) would be pick up only from 56754 (northwest Minnesota/eastern North Dakota) as my local post office can't ship them and UPS/FedEx/DHL is not available out here. I could deliver a relatively short distance, but I'm afraid I'd have to ask for some gas money for that.

As for prices, no reasonable offer will be refused. And I mean it. You want the engine and tranny for $150, you got it!! You want to come and help me pull it, that price goes down to $100.....

I'm keeping the back half as a firewood trailer, so rear axle and bed are staying intact (except for gas tanks of course).

Unless one of you kind souls wants the whole damned thing for $400.....

If you need pics, no prob. I can get them posted in a matter of minutes, just ask.

I need a work truck. How rusty is it? Will my neighbors be pissed if it's parked in my driveway?

Here's some pics I have of it already, I can get some more in the morning.

BIGCHEVYMAN, I'm not sure if the truck is worth a road trip from Tennessee. It certainly wouldn't be to me. But then I'm an unemployed cheapskate when it comes to that kind of stuff.

It's your normal Minnesota plains daily driver. It's bulletproof reliable, even down below -30*F. It's NEVER failed me. But it's been subjected to 25 years of salted roads.

I will tell you now, it's going to need tires. The back two are bald and the right front has a slow leak. The spare is shot. It would also need the light socket and pigtail for the right front turn signal. The day I took it off the road, it quit working, and when I went to go investigate, the contact plate was rusted to the bulb and dissolved in my hands.

But if you want something that you can throw the entire bed full of wet sand and haul it across town, this is the truck. I've never actually looked to see what they are, but I KNOW the diffs are lower geared than 4:10/4:11. It wraps out at about 77-78mph. But it will move a mountain in the process. The top two pics I counted the pieces of wood as I unloaded it. After averaging the weight of the logs, I figured I had about 3,000-3,500 pounds back there and the truck accelerated like the logs were made out of styrofoam. Scared the crap out of me after thinking that I drove a 1/2 ton truck about 20 miles with 3-4 times its rated capacity in it. But the truck never showed any signs of being phased by it.

If there's anything else you want to know about it, let me know. Oh, I changed the front shocks on it about 18 months ago and still have the rears new in their boxes. They'll go with the truck if you want the whole thing. I also rather recently did an ignition tuneup and oil change on it. So that stuff's all pretty much new.

Any interest in the whole truck? If not I'm going to start parting it out. Wife says one way or another it has to get moving.
