72 cheyenne value?
i know someone with a 71/72? cheyenne, with a 402/ th400 and 12 bolt with a/c, not sure on the rest of the options. its very rusty and probobly considered a parts vehicle, im sure it doesnt run, ect. im trying to figure out what it would be worth to buy for parts, i.e. big block motor mounts, the a.c stuff, the actual 402/ th400 asuming they are good cores that can be rebiult, ect.
they also have a 69/70 C30 motorhome, probobly the nicest cab and front clip ive ever seen, but the back of the cab is cut out so you can walk into the camper... are those desireable? or just a parts truck? it has a 350 i think, they both have been sitting a LONG time, so i'd guess there defiantely both parts trucks. what should i offer them? |

Re: 72 cheyenne value?
I'd give $500 for the C-30 but that's because I want one

Re: 72 cheyenne value?
On that walkout cab, it's pretty easy to patch it up. Find a normal rusted out cab for $50 or $100. The back won't be rusty. Cut that piece out to patch the good camper cab. Cheaper and easier than starting with a cab where you have to weld in rockers and floorpans.

Re: 72 cheyenne value?
well... i got the c30 home, some good, some bad will come im sure
the good is it had nice medium green buckets, perfect interior (had a visor in the windshield) 350/th400 and NO RUST... i cant belive how good of shape this thing is in, ive never seen wht the floor pans and underside of one of these trucks is *supposed* to look like. and it MIGHT run tomorrow... the battery was dead so i threw it on the charger. im gonna dissconect the fuel pump and run it into a gas can, and see if i can get it running. the bad... it smells horrible in the camper, and i have to figure out how to get the thing off, i cant see anything else to do with it, beside ditch the camper |

Re: 72 cheyenne value?
i would take pics but my camera is messed up.. says low battery all the time and i just put in new batteries.?? idk.
but... i got the c30 camper home, pretty much dissasembled it already, got the front clip off, got the motor and trans off and the cab came off today. it was a real pain getting the cab off without removing the camper part. all i have left is the front sway bar and the th400 yolk to get off of it. then as soon as i haul the leftovers of the camper to the scrapyard i'll haul the 71 cheyenne home and start tearing it down... i looked at it again today and it has a headliner??? never seen a factory one before. it looks to messed up to use tho it will be nice to have all the parts to finish my 71 k10 with, i'll have bucket seats, all the a/c stuff for a big block, a really nice original cab, ect |
