Supertrapps
Got under the truck today and cut off those Purple Hornies (way too loud for this ole man) and put my Supertrapps back on. Sounds so much better. May have a slight leak yet around one of the collectors Gonna change all the collector bolts and locking nuts. Forked out the bucks for copper gaskets just to see how they work. We'll see.

Re: Supertrapps
Hey mudder, you have any sound clips of your supertrapps? I was thinking about them for my 355. Thanks, Justin

Re: Supertrapps
Supertrapp makes mufflers that are adjustable. you can remove the plate on the end and customize your sound/backpressure/etc.
here's a pic of one model...

Re: Supertrapps
The Super Trap style muffler has a 2" inlet with a 4" outlet. It is 18" long at the body and comes with a stack of spark arresting discs. The amount of discs can be changed by the owner to regulate the back pressure and tone.

Re: Supertrapps
Thanks guys. Good pics. They come with 18 disks each and adding 6 per side will make a difference in sound and performance. Maybe on the equal to like adding a K&N air cleaner or removing your mechanical fan. Adding disks adds to your top end (louder) and removing helps the bottom end (quieter).
The ones I am running are 2 1/2 inlet and I believe they are 5" outlet and they are stainless but they don't shine like those above. Last edited by Mudder; 05-31-2007 at 02:49 AM. |
