van column swap
i know that the 67-72 truck tilt columns are the preferred swap for our trucks, but my question is will the van columns of the same years work as well?...if not, what are the differences in them?

Re: van column swap
Here are some pictures of the van column.. They are great because they end just past the firewall and you add a lower column to it... I had to weld some nuts on the steering column to bolt it to the parking brake bracket. I guess that is the combo bracket for the steering column and the parking brake... I now have an 88 burb column in the truck... The column in the pictures is from a 79 van..

Re: van column swap
I am using an 84 G30 Cab and chassis for my cab and doghouse, the column appears to be a useable switch as well, It has a double universal joint already with a 10 inch square center bar which is allowing for multiple positioning. I'll let you know how it works. Thanks Jerry
