Re: my Sherman tank, lowered
If you are gonna lower the truck, you gotta lose the mud tires.

Re: my Sherman tank, lowered
Well everyone and their mom has a lowered truck on 26-28" diameter tires, but I've never seen a one rolling on 33s... Besides I really like the ability to run stuff over Actually I gotta take a pic today of the truck as is now, with the wooden stakes over the bed, that'll do it more justice. So stay tuned

Re: my Sherman tank, lowered
meh I already have a car that's set up for handling, I wanna be able to run stuff over, and the truck is very good for that now. If I'm to start lowering it like y'all suggest with short tires, I'll have to take the whole front end apart and rebuild it for crazy handling too, which means any time I wanna go sown a bumpy dirt road I'd be worried about them tires or something hitting the underside.
Anyhow, I have new pics of the truck, will upload them tonight with some more photoshopping ideas.

Re: my Sherman tank, lowered
If you want to go over stuff, why lower it then? Doesn't make sense to me. But, hey, it's your truck.

Re: my Sherman tank, lowered
Agreed. You just gave the truck an identity crisis. Either get the right tires on it, or put a lift kit in instead of the lowering kit. Running stuff over is way more fun than corner-carving in a truck anyway, so lift it up and start running over something bigger than squirrels.

Re: my Sherman tank, lowered
yeah id raise it instead of lowering it,,but thats me..if you gonna lower it, you could go old school as far as tires nd whee,s,,instead of the ugly large rims..

Re: my Sherman tank, lowered
You should see my car - grandpa's landyacht with the stance of a muscle car and suspension set up for flying through corners yet rolls on LT235/75-15 offroad tires and has a huge brush-guard up front and a jeep-style-mount spare wheel in the rear Identity crisis is good for uniqueness
Actually I'd rather lift it indeed, but it's just a 2wd so at least in the front I'm stuck with coil spring and I can get only like 2" more before I start riding on the upper bump stops. I could potentially get creative with the UCA's by devising a way to run knuckles and struts off some heavy car, but it's still gonna be a pain, especially since I don't have a garage

Re: my Sherman tank, lowered
Looks stock to me!! Nice level stance. I hate the gap between the top of the wheel and the body.

Re: my Sherman tank, lowered
put a 3 inch body on it that'll raise and with those tires it'll look like 4x4.friend of mine did that to his looked really good in my opinion.

Re: my Sherman tank, lowered
Kurt, I never really thought about that, it's a good idea tho, especially since my body mounts are pretty much shot everywhere. Is the lift kit the same for 2wd and 4x4 trucks?
Also, here are the most current pics, as of yesterday really:

Re: my Sherman tank, lowered
You know, that's something I never looked into. And actually I bet I can steal two sets of rear bags off a Lincoln TC, and I got plenty od space in the engine bay to install two of their air compressors too... Great idea man, thanks!
