sandblasted frame
So today I sandblasted most of my 66 frame. Gosh It's nice to see clean metal. Only think I didn't like about it was sweeping up about a 100 pounds on sand so far. I bought the blaster off someone for about 30 bucks and about 300 pounds of sand for 27 bucks.
Question though. Tomorrow I should have the complete frame blasted and cleaned up. Have any of you guys ever used MasterSeries Silver Permanent Rust Sealer Primer Or do you know of any Rust Sealers I could buy locally? |

Re: sandblasted frame
I used it, my frame is on their website... www.nomorerust.com
I loved the sealer, like the paint. Are you doing a show truck? If not and you are on a budget but want a good result then I say use it. Check out my build thread if you want more pics of it.... Very durable stuff when it's on a blasted piece of metal...

Re: sandblasted frame
We only use the Nason (Du Pont) self etching primer part number 491-17 and actvator 441-43. It is economical, and I have yet to spray anything that holds better! It has a 1:1 mix ratio and sprays easy. I follow it up with chassis black, number 422-05, which is very easy to touch up if you get any scratches during re-assembly. Good Luck!!!! Jerry
