Man I love your truck dude! That is one nice ride! I always liked the black exterior with red interior. I have a set of factory gages with a tach like yours that a friend of mine gave to me a while back that he got with a parts truck that he bought.

I have been trying to figure out what year they are. He told me that the truck they came from was a 1981, but I know the 1981 gages didn't look like that because I remember seeing the later gages like my 86 has back in 1980. I used to have a 1977 but it had a mechanical oil pressure gage. I figured that it had to come from a 78-79. What year is your truck? I have been told that I can't use the tach gage cluster that my friend gave me in my 1986 without having to change the carburetor. Do you happen to know if this is true? ...Joe

I notice your rubber trim ring at the base of the column is broken on the bottom... mine is all gray and dried up, about to crack. Just wondering how much disassembly is required to replace that sucker... or I might just do the cut and glue method

Oh and nice interior! Like the steering wheel... but I also like the big dorky stock wheel, too. Cool stuff.

I'm guessing those chrome bezels for the gauges are aftermarket? Looks great.

I've never seen the chrome on these dash bezels be that shiny. Mine don't even have any chrome left on them.

I got a question about your seat. My 77 GMC has a seat with the same switch pattern as well as the chrome accents. Was this available during a few certain years or was it based on trim level. Mine is a Sierra Grande.

Good catch. Yeah I can't remember to order another one. Mine had a split in it, so the new one will too..

I like the factory wheel too. Mine even has the wood insert that matches the dash and doors. I have it tucked away in a safe spot.

The chrome trim is factory.

Thanks, it's a 77 Cheyenne. Yes, 77 had a mechanical oil pressure gauge. Post pics of your cluster and we should be able to determine what year it's from, and what year it will fit.

This pattern with the chrome "buckles" available on 76 and 77's.

My 75' Silverado has the buckles, when I have the seat re-done, I am going to have them retained. I think they really make the interior "pop!"
