Frame questions
So I have this idea about how I'm going to paint my truck...
What I've been thinking is that I would like to remove the cab and box from my frame and put it on another frame while I paint it. This way I can put the finishing touches on my current frame, and also not get any overspray on it or the components. It would also make it easy to roll the body around as well. Although I would prefer to find a short box frame... they seem to be few and far between. Would my box bolt up (or at least sit straight) on a long box frame? does anyone know where I could find a frame for cheap or free in my region (michigan/indiana)? |

Re: Frame questions
The bed should sit straight though not all the bolts will bolt up you dont need but two to keep it down, the gap that would be between the bed and cab on a log bed frame would make it easier to paint the back of the cab and front of the bed. Thought they arent usually seen, if you are an "Anal Andy" it would make it easier to do.

Re: Frame questions
Free in Virginia, probably not close enough for you... but you get a drivetrain you could sell and make some money on..
