Ladies and Gentleman,
I need some advice from the brain trust. I have a 71 Chevy C-10 with a 250 I-6 that the harmonic balancer will not come off. I was using a harmonic balancer puller and I stripped the threads right out of the puller. Any suggestion on how to loosen its tight grip on the crankshaft? Thanks, Rich ![]() |

Re: Stuck Harmonic Balancer
Sounds like you have a cheap puller. We have an old Snap On one that has pulled balancers off after stripping the cheap parts store ones out...

Re: Stuck Harmonic Balancer
I am happy to report that I finally removed the balancer with a $16 puller from O'Reilly's.
Thanks for the posts. Rich |
