WTB overdrive unit

Looking for an auxillary overdrive unit for my 71 C30 with a four speed. Gear vendors etc. Would also consider one with the 205 t-case adapter. Anyone installed one of these on their 67-72? Any other brands out there?

Re: WTB overdrive unit

USA drive... maybe it was USA gear... there was another company that made Aux add on trannys for gear splitting that also made it an overdrive. Some one on here got one on e-bay dirt cheap a few years ago.

Re: WTB overdrive unit

Yes, I'm currently in Powell. It's a great driving unit, but the 4.56's aren't that great on the highway. I gues I can always put in a 5 speed if I can't get an overdrive.

Re: WTB overdrive unit

how about some 19.5" rims and rubber, that will help cut the rpm's at least till you get the overdrive
