Re: control arms question
Im not 100%, but I have a complete front end, Im not sure what shipping would cost, might not be worth it. Its in good shape, probably needs new ball joints, maybe a trip to the sandblaster. Good luck either way

Re: control arms question
I used an empty Oxygen bottle and cut a 4 in section then capped the bottom. It worked great then I bought the ART lowers. and stuck the old arms on a 72 blazer which has had no problems with bag wear.

Re: control arms question
I just finished doing my lowers for my 71. What I found is that the arm is a little taller at the bushing on the 73-up arms than it is on the 71-down. Probably wouldn't make a difference on a stock c/member but it causes interference on my sectioned on. Nothing a torch can't fix though. I used 1/4" wall 8" pipe and there's plenty of clearance with the RE7s. I didn't gusset anything but I did tack a piece of tubing on the bottom side of the arm right next to the coil pocket because it'll be thin when you cut out for your pipe. Here's a few pics, if I can help any more just let me know.
Edit: I paid 150.00 for a complete front suspension with steering and cross member that was already pulled.
