If it is bare metal, I use a 2 part self etching primer by dupont/nason #491-17 for the primer and 441-43 activator 1:1 mix ratio and sprays easy. For the top coat of primer before the paint I use the dupont/nason slect prime #421-17 with the 483-87 activator 4:1 mix ratio with no sandscratch swelling or bleedthrough of topcoat problems. For real topline paint jobs I spray the dupont ful-seal #422-23, non sanding packaged ready to spray and specifically designed to work with the dupont base/clears and urethane single stage paints to retain paint image with no dyeback. I have been dupont certified for years, truly believe in their finishes and have had no problems in 23 years of spraying them. Jerry
