Help me decide what to do !

Ok guys, I can't decide what to do with my truck

I know I want it to be a SWB & I'm gonna bag it to go really low

So do I put it on a SWB frame, of which I own or cut down my LWB frame ???
I'm gonna build the frame from the cab back, so I dunno which would be better

Do I put a later A/C cab on & call it a 67 with the Panoramic View option (I like the small back window cuz 67 was the only year for it, but I like odd factory options too) ???

What kind of engine, 5.3 with 4L60E & computer... or a fairly hot SBC

And the last thing is: Do I just sell my truck and build a new one... I have a short wide bed & a A/C cab from my dads 72 that he said I can use & I have my SWB frame to put it on & I have a 700r4, then all I have to come up with is a front clip (if I were to sell my truck I'd put a different engine & exhaust on it)

I have Kilroy to drive while I work on my black truck, so time consumption isn't too big of a problem

Re: Help me decide what to do !

And on the front clip all I'd really need would be the fenders a hood & bumper
Cuz I have a perfect grill with trim & a ratty 68 clip I could use the core support from

To sell it I'd put springs back under the front

Re: Help me decide what to do !

Dude, here's the deal. Let me tell you a small story. When I bought my '67, my wife said you have to have one go. So I agreed, we have a house about three hours away, I could put it there. We're gonna go up this weekend and I could take it up then. Only one problem - I am already missing the truck I am taking! I want them both here! Weird. I always had a thing about my trucks, it's like they're your dog or something, you can't just let them go. It looks like spray-bomb has quite the personality just the way it is. In short, keep spray bomb, don't cut'em up, because you'll reget it. Trust me. There are so many trucks over the years that I wish I had. Just get another one, but leave that one alone,or sell it to someone that will give it a good home (but I doubt you'll be able to).

Re: Help me decide what to do !

The big question is, "What do you want out of your truck? Will it be your DD? Will it be your Weekend Warrior?" If you can decide this, then you will be well on your way to what you want out of it. Good luck!

I would cut the LWB frame if you are going to do serious mods anyway. I think SWB frames are too desireable to be cutting up for mods!!! Save it for another project.

Re: Help me decide what to do !

If mine had been a long bed I would have just cut the frame off behind the cab and rebuilt it. No sense in cutting up the SWB frame when you can do the same to the LWB. Oh, and keep Spray Bomb, she's an award winner you know

Re: Help me decide what to do !

I agree with using a LWB frame instead of cut'n up a good SWB, it only makes since

I started out with this idea thinking I'd build a weekend warrior, but the more I thin bout it the more I like to drive my truck
So I think Ima go with the 5.3 install & make it nice

Little off the subject Spray-Bomb, but what do you have on the front of your truck to lower it right now?
