Brian what does the tire say??? If it's 50psi max cold, I would run 40. Done that on all my 30x9.50's mounted on a 7" rim, without any wear problems. If you are going to transport some BIG girls bump the rears up to 50.
Also for checking and or adding pressure to a warm/hot tire, put in 4psi over what you want. When the tire cools the pressure will decrease.50psi on a hot tire will be about 45-46 psi after the tire cools.
