Back together again
After at least two years since my seperation from my wife I've finally gotten the ambition to peek under the tarp of the half built 71 GMC.
Nasty surface rust, forgotten where I was, so much to do! I've been avoiding her, almost wishing someone would just haul it away since it just represented another failed endeavour which has dragged on forever. Then something strange happened, I picked up the wrenches and I just picked up where I left off, I couldn't be more excited to be back at it! All the enthusiasm just came rushing back just like when I first bought her eight years ago for two or three year project, lol It's great to be back

Re: Back together again
That's great! Nothing like working on a classic truck project to get your mind straight.
Also a good way to prove to yourself that you can finish it. Keep us posted on progress. |

Re: Back together again
Some of the greatest release and healing comes from banging on old metal or your knuckles with a wrench.
Glad you are back at it

Re: Back together again
back Spoof...
The past can affect our future but never let it control our present. Glad to see you back and working on your truck. There is something special about a man and his truck that defies explanation.

Re: Back together again
I know what your going thru!! Its fun and exciting to get into a project to regain your marbles and refresh your mind. Life it too short to sit and do nothing because someone hurt ya. Get those tools out and work on your truck....Thats what i did after my divorce. I built this truck to calm myself and get back to MY LIFE!!! 1994 V8 S10. Factory paint. I wetsanded it and buffed it by hand. (no money to buy buffer) Accomplishments are the keys to life.
