Power Brake add on
My 79 is just so bone azz stock. Im getting a power brake booster from a 79/80 C10. My question is, I dont have the bolts to bolt the bracket onto the fire wall. Where do or would I bolt it on? Guess Im looking for a patter?
And I have a L6, where is a good place to pull vacuum.

Re: Power Brake add on
Right below the carb on the intake on mine was a plug that I removed and found the lines and hardware in a salvage yard on a newer inline with integral head/intake. You can kinda see the square pipe threaded plug in the pic.

Re: Power Brake add on
Oh nice, Yea what I need to do is find where on the fire wall to bolt the bracket and to pull vacuum.
I also have a set of power steering brackets. Wondering if you could take me a couple of extra pics of your power steering set up? Much Thanks!!

Re: Power Brake add on
Here's a few more pics, I don't know how much these'll help, but you can see the vaccuum line from the intake manifold to the vacuum booster. The vacuum booster is generally located between the master brake cylinder and the firewall.
If you pull one from a salvage yard, you can see how it's put together and get all the brackets and stuff you'll need. I always take more than I think I'll need, and end up needing it and more. The power steering brackets are modified to fit a 292, so they'll be different from what you'll find for a 250. It shouldn't be too hard to find the 250 power steering mounts. Anyway, hope this helps.
