Rear Axle measurement?
Does anyone know the measurement from wheel mount surface TO wheel mount surface?
Also let me know what year rearend you measured. I know there is 1-1/2" difference from 67-early'70 & late'70 -72... I did a search and got conflicting measurements, some say 56" & 57-1/5" other said 64"... So, not sure what they were measuring to. 64" seems more correct, but not sure what year that person had. So, axle flange (wheel mount) to axle flange (other wheel mount) is all I need. I do not need backplate or drum or perch... just wheel to wheel. Thanks in advance...

gimme ten minutes.....
OK, my '68 rear measures 62" from wheel-mount to wheel-mount My '72 rear measures 63.5" from wheel-mount to wheel-mount (1.5" wider than early rears) Hope this helps!
